ICLIS 2015 Updates.....
International Conference on Library & Information Science (ICLIS) 2015 was held at Galadari Hotel, Colombo on 17 - 18 Sep. 2015 on the theme of "Challenges for Information Professionals and LIS services in the 21st Century". The conference began with the Council members accompanying the Chief Guest H.E. Maj. Gen.(Rtd.) Syed Shakeel Hussain, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka and the Keynote Speaker Dr. Jagdish Arora, Director, INFLIBNET Centre, India in an academic procession. The President of the SLLA, Mrs. Shivanthi Weerasinghe welcomed the guests and Dr. (Mrs.) Pradeepa Wijetunge President-Elect and the Conference Chair also addressed the gathering.The ICLIS 2015 conference proceedings was launched and it was handed over by presenting it over to the dignitaries guests and delegates by the Editors Dr. (Mrs.) Pradeepa Wijetunge , Ms. Champa N. K. Alahakoon , Mr. M.N.Ravikumar and Mr. T. Ramanan in the inaugural session of the conference. It includes 28 papers presented by the local and foreign scholars in the technical sessions.
