Since its establishment, the Sri Lanka Library Association (SLLA) has played a pivotal role in shaping the development of the library and information profession in the country. Recognised by the Government of Sri Lanka, the Association has continuously set the standard for professional practice and education. As the sole national body representing library and information professionals, SLLA has not only advanced local expertise but has also aligned its work with international standards, ensuring that Sri Lankan librarianship evolves in step with global trends.
